BSC Soccer Park
Built in 1987, the Birmingham-Southern College Soccer Park has
served as the host field for numerous conference and regional
soccer tournaments. In 1997 and 1998, BSC hosted the NAIA Men's
Soccer National Championships, the first national championships
held on the BSC campus. The facility was also honored with the
opportunity to host the 2004 Big South Conference Men's Soccer
Championships, as well as the 2011 Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference Men's Soccer Championship, and the 2012 Southern
Athletic Association Men's Soccer Championship.
In 1998, a press box facility, which houses restrooms and storage space, as well has space for media facilities, was added.
With a seating capacity of approximately 1,000, the field also offers spacious grassy areas for families or students to enjoy a match. "The Hillside" has become a popular viewing point for BSC students and fans.
The immaculate field is considered to be one of the finest in the region and has served as the model of several college fields across the nation.
The BSC Soccer Park, however, is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of facilities available to the Panther players for training, fitness and development. The Athletic Weight Training Facility is housed in the Striplin Sports Center and features state-of-the-art Cybex training equipment, as well as standard free weights.
