GREENSBORO, N.C. – All four qualifying Birmingham-Southern swimming and diving student-athletes competed in the opening day of the 2019 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday.
ATLANTA – Birmingham-Southern women’s lacrosse student-athlete Katie Gleeson (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) was named the Southern Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team won its series finale against Rhodes College Sunday in Southern Athletic Association play. BSC (14-5, 4-2 SAA) closed the series with a 6-1 win in game three.
TROY, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams competed against programs from all divisions of the NCAA Saturday at the Doc Anderson Invitational hosted by Troy University. The men had a strong showing, finishing third overall, just 15.5 points behind the Division I program from Alabama A&M.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team suffered its first Southern Athletic Association losses of the season at Rhodes College Saturday. The Panthers (13-5) fell 5-4 and 1-0 to move to 3-2 in SAA play.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team split its doubleheader with Piedmont College Tuesday afternoon. After BSC (11-3) won the first game 4-3, the Panthers saw a seven game win streak snapped with a 7-5 game two loss in extra innings.
