BSC's teams post strong spring academic performances

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Thirteen of Birmingham-Southern's 17 teams posted a 3.0 grade point average or higher this past spring semester.
The teams that combined for a 3.0 or higher were: baseball, men's basketball, men's cross country/track and field, women's cross country/track and field, men's golf, women's golf, rifle, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, and volleyball.
"We are very proud of the academic achievements of our student athletes, which I believe reflects positively on the excellent recruiting and leadership of our coaches," Athletic Director Joe Dean, Jr., said.
