BSC Falls to Transylvania at Emory Classic

ATLANTA – The Birmingham-Southern men's basketball team fell 78-69 to Transylvania on Thursday, dropping the Panthers to 3-7 on the season. It was BSC's first game at the Emory Classic.

BSC never led but kept it close through most of the game until the Pioneers pulled away in the final two minutes.

Sophomore guard Calvin Bak (Muscle Shoals, Ala./Muscle Shoals HS) led the Panthers with 16 points. Junior point guard Zach Allison (Pelham, Ala./Wallace State Community College) and junior forward Matty Rudak (Augustow, Poland/Millbrook School) also had double-digit scoring performances with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Allison had five assists and Rudak snagged eight rebounds.

Birmingham-Southern will continue play at the Emory Classic on Friday, Nov. 29 with a game against Illinois Wesleyan 2 p.m. ET.
