BSC Drops Game to Illinois Wesleyan 81-74

ATLANTA – The Birmingham-Southern men's basketball team fell to Illinois Wesleyan on Friday afternoon by a score of 81 to 74, dropping to 3-8 on the year.

Senior Harrison Deneka (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) dropped 17 points in the loss, adding eight boards and an assist. Junior point guard Zach Allison (Pelham, Ala./Wallace State Community College) led the Panthers with seven assists.

The game against Illinois Wesleyan was the final for the Panthers at the Emory Classic. BSC returns home to Bill Battle Coliseum on Tuesday, Jan. 2 to open Southern Athletic Association play against Millsaps. Tipoff for the game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
