ATLANTA – The Birmingham-Southern men's basketball team dropped its Southern Athletic Association game against Oglethopre 93-90 in double overtime.
The Panthers outscored the Stormy Petrels 40-21 in the second half to end regulation tied at 66. BSC's Zachary Allison (Pelham, Ala./Wallace State CC) led BSC with a career-high 32 points and seven assists.
In the first period of overtime, the home side Petrels and visiting Panthers scored 12 points each. In the second overtime, Oglethorpe outscored the Panthers 15-12 to end the game in a 93-90 defeat for the Panthers.
Birmingham-Southern, with the tough loss, drops to 10-10 overall and 4-6 in the conference. The Panthers will travel to Berry College for its next game on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m.
