ATLANTA – Birmingham-Southern senior point guard Zachary Allison (Pelham, Ala./Wallace State CC) was selected to the All-Southern Athletic Association Men's Basketball First Team, the conference announced Monday.
Allison, who started in every game for the Panthers this season, led the team in points-per-game with 13.3 and in assists per game with 4.9. Among all-conference players, he was fifth in points-per-game and the league-leader in assists-per-game.
In total, Allison scored a team-high 333 points and finished the year with 122 assists, good for a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio.
The senior scored a career-high 32 points in a 93-90 overtime loss at Oglethorpe this season and had a season-high 10 assists at Pensacola Christian on Nov. 27.
The All-SAA First Team recognition was Allison's first all-conference honor.
