Women's Golf finishes third, Men fifth at Montevallo Intercollegiate
CALERA, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team finished third and the men's golf team finished fifth at the Montevallo Intercollegiate, which concluded today at Timberline Golf Course in Calera, Ala.
Junior Matt Kelly was the top finisher for the Panther men and placed third overall after shooting a 71 today for a two-round score of 144. Kelly's score of 71 today tied for first place in the second round with Blake Watts of UAB.
Freshman Landon Michelson was second for BSC and 22nd overall with a two-round score of 157, followed by freshman Miller Stephens at 26th with 160), junior Thomas Ray at 29th with 163, and freshman Daniel Morris at 33rd with 171.
For the women, junior Jennifer Commander was the top finisher and came in fifth overall with a two-day total of 160, followed by senior Ashley Lovell at 10th with 166, freshman Kaleigh Toole at 13th with 167, freshman Ellen Chun at 14th with 168, and sophomore Michelle Morris at 21st with 177.
