CONWAY, Ark. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team defeated Hendrix College 14-7 on the road Saturday afternoon to cap off the regular season. With the win, the Panthers moved to 10-5 overall and 3-3 in the Southern Athletic Association.
A slow start had BSC down 3-0 after the first quarter, but the Panthers stormed back to tie it up 4-4 at halftime. BSC then outscored Hendrix 10-3 in the second half to take home the win.
The Panthers were led on offense by sophomore attack Taylor Carson (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) who scored four goals and added an assist.
Goalie Matt Quill (Fort Mill, S.C./Coker College) got the start for BSC and recorded 10 saves.
Birmingham-Southern, currently fourth in the SAA, awaits confirmation of its opponent in the conference tournament next week.
