Panthers Lose Battle Against Bison 12-8

MACON, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team fell to the Nichols College Bison 12-8 in a neutral-site contest on Sunday afternoon.

The two teams went into halftime tied up at 5-5, but Nichols outscored BSC 7-3 in the final 30 minutes, handing the Panthers the loss.

Three different BSC players – Carter Watkins (Charlotte, N.C./Adrey Kell HS), Davis Thompson (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes HS) and Carter McAlpin (Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville HS) – scored two goals each.

Sophomore Crawford Tindle (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) and junior Braden McCombs (Hoover, Ala./Hoover HS) scored BSC's other two goals.

With the loss, Birmingham-Southern drops to 5-4 on the season. The Panthers will travel to Rhodes College for its first Southern Athletic Association game on Wednesday, March 20 at 6 p.m.
