Panthers fall to nationally-ranked Trinity on the road
SAN ANTONIO, Texas—The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's soccer teams both lost to Trinity today in San Antonio. The women lost to the No. 10 Tigers, 3-1, while the men lost to No. 6 Trinity, 4-1.
The women fall to 6-6 overall and 1-4 in the SCAC, while the men fall to 3-6-3 overall and 0-4-2 in conference action.
In the women's game, Trinity out-shot BSC 27-3. Freshman goalkeeper Jordan Papas recorded eight saves for the Panthers. The men's game's statistics were similar, as the Tigers out-shot the Panthers 27-4. Senior goalkeeper Shachar Hovan started and made three saves, freshman Alex Levinson recorded two saves, and BSC made four team saves for a total of nine.
Both BSC teams return home next Saturday for Homecoming weekend, taking on Millsaps in a 4 p.m. doubleheader at BSC Soccer Park.
