Panthers Fall 2-0 to Hampden-Sydney

ROME, Ga. – Two second half goals by Hampden-Sydney sank the Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team 2-0 on Sunday as the team lost its second consecutive game in the Berry College Invitational.

The Panthers struggled near the net, managing just one shot on goal compared to Hampden-Sydney's seven.

Jacob Mann was the man of the match for the Tigers, scoring the first goal in the 48th minute and assisting on the second goal by Ryan Turner in the 86th minute.

BSC junior goalkeeper Galen Curry finished the match with five saves.

With the loss, Birmingham-Southern moves to 3-2. The Panthers next match will be Wednesday, Sept. 13 at home against Belhaven. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
