JACKSON, Miss. – The Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team and Belhaven Blazers drew 0-0 on Wednesday night. The tie moves BSC's overall record this season to 4-1-1.
The Blazers outshot the Panthers 10-9 but BSC had more shots-on-goal with six to Belhaven's four.
Freshman forward Christian Hernandez (Ft. Payne, Ala./Ft. Payne HS) led the Panthers with two shots and one shot-on-goal.
Junior goalkeeper Kurt Moore (Euharlee, Ga./Darlington School) earned his second start of the season, playing all 110 minutes in goal for the Panthers and recording four saves.
Birmingham-Southern will travel to Covenant for its next match on Friday, Sept. 14. Kickoff against the Scots is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.
