CONWAY, Ark. – The Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team opened up Southern Athletic Association play with a road win at Hendrix on Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers defeated the Warriors 2-0 to improve to 5-3-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

Freshman forward Coleman Jennings (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) scored both of BSC's goals, finding the back of the net in each of the two halves.

Jennings opened up the scoring early with a goal in the eighth minute. Junior Will Gannaway (Decatur, Ala./Decatur HS) assisted on the goal.

Jennings then capped the scoring, earning his second brace of the season, in the 71st minute with junior midfielder Brian Heredia (Pelham, Ala./Itawamba CC) coming through with the assist.

The Panthers outshot the Warriors 18-6 and tallied eight corner kick opportunities.
