Panthers finish third at SCAC Men's Tennis Championship

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—Fueled by a sweep of the doubles matches, the Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team took home third place in the 2012 SCAC Championship. The 7-2 win over Sewanee at the Burns Park Tennis Center in North Little Rock, Ark., concludes the 2012 campaign for the Panthers with an overall record of 14-5.

Senior Reed Pilling and junior Sawyer Voges were victorious in both their singles and doubles matches. Pilling won his singles match 6-1, 6-5, and his doubles match with partner senior John Zukley 8-0. Voges's win in singles came in a three-set match 6-7 (3-7), 6-3, 10-5 and his doubles win with partner sophomore Stewart Thrash was by the score of 8-6.
