MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Birmingham-Southern men's tennis opened the 2018-19 season on the road at the ITA Atlantic South Regional Friday.
Hunter Hoffmeister performed well in Flight D, picking up two wins. He advanced to the semifinals after outscoring opponents 24-4.
Jameson Bekaert and Isaac Eck had a good opening day in doubles play. The pair went undefeated in Flight A to advance to the quarterfinals. They topped Andrew Chitty and Kanler Cumbass from Piedmont College 8-5, and then Jesus Gil and Aditya Iyer from North Carolina Wesleyan 8-4.
