Men's Cross Country Takes Seventh at SAA Title Meet

ROME, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern men's cross country team finished seventh at the 2019 Southern Athletic Association Cross Country Championship hosted by Berry College on Saturday.

As a team, the Panthers had a total time of 2:33:45.12 and an average 8k time of 30:45.03.

Freshman Tony Parisi (Marietta, Ga./Pope HS) was the first Panther to cross the finish line, placing 47th with a time of 28:27.77.

Sophomore Beck Wilkes (Winfield, Ala./Winfield HS) was the next BSC runner to finish with a time of 28:58.86 to put him in 60th.

Sophomore Griffin Riner (Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville HS), senior Raleigh Schmidt (Madison, Ala./James Clemens HS) and freshman Carl Albright (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) finished the 8k in 76th, 82nd, and 86th, respectively.
