BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern softball team won the series against Millsaps with a split today, losing the first game 1-0 but using a late-game comeback to win game two 6-3.

The Panthers move to 15-5 overall and 3-1 in the SCAC, while the Majors fall to 6-16 overall and 1-3 in league play.

In game one, the lone run came in the top of the third on an RBI single by Allison Tarbox to give Millsaps the 1-0 lead, which they hung on to for the remainder of the game.

BSC collected 11 hits, all of them singles. Senior Ronni Ferris and junior Danielle Rucker were both 2-of-3, while freshman Joanna Jernigan was 2-of-4 at the plate.

In the second game, Millsaps scored twice in the top of the first and again in the top of the fourth to go up 3-0. Neither team scored again, giving the Panthers the 6-3 win.
