WILMORE, Ky. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team split its doubleheader with Transylvania Friday afternoon. The Panthers (17-15) dropped game one 2-1, but then went on to win 11-0 in six innings and handed Head Coach Kimball Cassady her 200th career win. The longest tenured coach in program history, Cassady is the first to reach the 200 win mark.
Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) led the Panthers offensively on the day. She hit .714 with five hits, including two doubles, two runs and two RBI. She also pitched a complete game shutout, striking out 11 batters earn the game two win.
The Panthers remain on the road, taking on Centre College Saturday, April 8 in a doubleheader that begins at noon ET.
