Offensive Onslaught Leads Panthers to Big Win at Centre

DANVILLE, Ky. – Big bats helped the Birmingham-Southern softball team rout Centre College 11-0 in five inning Sunday, to improve to 8-8 in conference play.

 

Maddie Ridgway (Birmingham, Ala./Southern Mississippi) went 4-for-4 with three runs to lead the offense.  Abby Spencer (Auburn, Ala./Auburn HS) had three hits of her own on the day, going 3-for-4 with three runs.

 

And Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) had two hits that both went yard. She finished with five RBI, three runs, and was walked twice.  Taylor Harkins (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) earned the win.

 

The Panthers return home for the regular season finale.  They face Talladega in a doubleheader that starts at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 13.  It will be senior day on the Hilltop.
