BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomores Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) and Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) were named to the All-Atlantic First Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association this week. This is Crumpton's second first-team all-region selection. Lee earned third-team honors last year.
Lee concluded her season as the NCAA Division III home runs statistical leader. She ranks nationally in nine different categories including third in slugging percentage. The first baseman hit .382 with a .918 slugging percentage. She ended her season leading the team in home runs and finishing second in doubles, runs, and walks.
Crumpton is nationally ranked in 18 different categories. Earning a team-high .398 batting average, she also led the team in at bats, hits, RBI, doubles, and triples. Crumpton finished top three on the team in runs and home runs. The lefty also had a team-low ERA of 1.81. She struck out a team-best 107 batters. She finished with a 12-8 record, tossing 10 complete games and a team-high 127.1 innings.
