To win the 2014 championship, BSC put together an astounding performance in the double-elimination tournament, winning five straight elmination games, including four in one day, to win the crown. BSC went 29-18 with a 19-5 mark in SAA action. Freshman Taylor Harkins was voted Pitcher of the Year by the league's head coaches, and eight players earned All-Conference honors.

Prior to that in 2013, Cassady's squad went 28-18, falling in the SAA title game to Millsaps. Sophomore Taylor Bassett was named SAA Player of the Year and NFCA First-Team All-Region and Third-Team All-America, and five of Cassady's player picked up All-SAA nods that season.

In 2012, Cassady and her Panthers won the SCAC title and Cassady was named SCAC Co-Coach of the Year. The Panthers were an impressive 36-11 overall with a berth to the NCAA Championship. BSC went 2-2 at the UT Tyler Regional, including a win against No. 13 Redlands. In addition to the Coach of the Year honor, senior Ashley Bice was voted Tri-Player of the Year, freshman Bethany Fronk was voted Pitcher of the Year, and four Panthers were tabbed as All-Conference players.

Cassady made a splash in her debut season as Head Coach, guiding the team to the 2011 SCAC East Region title with only 10 players on the roster. The Panthers went 25-9 overall and 13-3 against conference opponents. Five of Cassady's players earned All-Conference honors, as Ashley Bice and Danielle Rucker were named to the SCAC First-Team, Ronni Ferris and Brittany Berkopec were named Second-Team, and Chelsea Fernandez was Honorable Mention. Ferris was also named 2011 BSC Co-Female Athlete of the Year.

No stranger to Panther Softball, Cassady served as assistant on Tyra Perry's staff from 2002-2004. As an assistant on BSC's first softball team she helped build the Panthers into the strong program they are today. 'Southern won 68 games in those first three seasons including a 6-6 Big South record in 2004.

Cassady, an All-American at Hewitt Trussville High School, was a standout third baseman for the Auburn Tigers from 1998-2001. She also spent one year as a student assistant at Auburn before coming to 'Southern.

While playing for the Tigers she set a school record for assists with 366 in four years as a starter. She was a two-year team captain and three-time selection for the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

For three seasons before coming to BSC, Cassady served as head coach at Clay Chalkville High School where she led the Cougars to three consecutive area championships.

Cassady is married to Linc Cassady and they are members of A2 Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
