LaGRANGE, Ga.—The Birmingham-Southern swimming and diving teams won the LaGrange Invitational this weekend, with the men and women both finishing first in the field of four teams. Today marks the first team win for BSC's brand new program in its inaugural season.
The women had a team score of 208.5, followed by Berry with 129.5, South Georgia with 101.5, and LaGrange with 76.5. Freshman Hannah Busk led the team with three individual wins and two relay firsts. Freshman Kristen Stempak also had two individual first and two relay wins.
The men posted a score of 168, followed closely by Berry with 164, South Georgia with 163, and LaGrange with 52. Freshman Drew Priede led with two individual firsts, while freshmen Wil Cushman and Duncan Bonney also had individual wins.
The Panthers are back in action Nov. 30-Dec. 1 at the Sewanee Invitational in Sewanee, Tenn.
