BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern swimming and diving teams competed at the LaGrange Invitational in LaGrange, Ga., on Friday, and competed in a dual meet against Darton College on Saturday in Albany, Ga.
Friday's invitational was a quad meet. The BSC men beat LaGrange 134-24 but lost to South Georgia State 95-91. The women defeated South Georgia State 122-63 and LaGrange 149-19 but fell to Brenau 122-62. Sophomore Hannah Busk helped lead the way for the Panthers, finishing second in the 100 back and helping the 200 free relay team to win. On the men's side, sophomore Drew Priede won the 200 free and was a member of the winning 200 free relay.
Against Darton, the women won 193-82, but the men lost 202-91, for an overall score of 284-284. Priede was again impressive, winning the 500 free and breaking the school record in the 1000 free, as was Busk, winning the 200 back, 100 fly, and 400 medley relay.
The Panthers are back in action Nov. 22-23 at Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga.
