ATLANTA – Eleven Birmingham-Southern men's swimming and diving student-athletes were named All-Southern Athletic Association, the conference announced on Tuesday.
All-SAA selections are determined by the student-athlete's best finish in individual championship final events. First-place finishers are awarded a spot on the First Team while the second- and third-place finishers are placed on the Second and Honorable Mention teams, respectively.
Eight Panthers were picked to represent BSC on the All-SAA First Team. Conference Swimmer of the Year Nico Medina (Hollywood, Fla./American Heritage HS) and Newcomer of the Year Patrick Dunne (Mobile, Ala./McGill-Toolen Catholic HS) made the team, as well as Wil Barton (Memphis, Tenn./St. George's Independence School), Ryan Emili (Anchorage, Alaska/South Anchorage HS), Luke Huffstutler (Odenville, Ala./Heritage Christian Academy), Will Retersdorf (Spring Hill, Tenn./Independence HS), Caleb Riggs (Mesa, Ariz./Peninsula HS) and Noah Young (Clinton, Miss./Clinton HS).
Tabbed for the Second Team were senior Brady Coleman (Denham Springs, La./Denham Springs HS) and freshman Max Stoneking (Olathe, Kan./South Olathe HS). Freshman Driscoll Crabbe (Suwanee, Ga./Collinshill HS) was named SAA Honorable Mention.
