MOULTRIE, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern diving teams competed at the 2018 Moultrie Invite against Emory, West Florida and Georgia Southern on Sept. 28-30.
Freshman James Hughes (Huntsville, Ala./Grissom HS) and RJ Clark competed on the men's side in both the 3-meter and 1-meter dives. Hughes scored at a 200.15 in the 3-meter event to finish second and a 2017.15 in the 1-meter to place third. Clark finished just behind Hughes in both events, scoring a 165.45 and 203.25 in the 3- and 1-meter events, respectively.
In the 3-meter event, Schirm was BSC's top diver, scoring a 159.45 to finish sixth. Loew followed behind Schirm in seventh with a score of 148.15 and Duffer behind her in eighth with a score of 101.15. Schirm and Loew also competed in the 1-meter dive, finishing in sixth and seventh with scores of 137.15 and 123.35, respectively.
The Birmingham-Southern swimming and diving teams will host Emory in their next meet at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m.
