Four Swimmers Headed to NCAA Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Four Birmingham-Southern women's swimming and diving student-athletes qualified to compete at the 2019 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, N.C., March 20-23.

BSC's four swimmers who will be competing in the championships are junior Becca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS), freshman Anna Jordan Luth (Pensacola, Fla./Booker T. Washington HS), sophomore Mary Beth Ronne (Athens, Tenn./McMinn County HS) and freshman Mary Katherine Stewart (Daphne, Ala./Daphne HS).

It will be the second NCAA championships appearance by Erwin and Ronne, who swam in the nationals last season.

Individually, Erwin will participate in the women's 100-, 200- and 500-yard freestyles. She competed in the 100- and 200-yard freestyles in the championships last season, finishing sixth and fourth, respectively, in the events.

Erwin will join her teammates Luth, Ronne and Stewart to race in the 800-yard freestyle relay. The relay team qualified for the nationals with a selected time of 7:33.06.
