LA CROSSE, Wisc. – Birmingham-Southern track and field closed out the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships with two more All-America honors.

"Our athletes represented our program in a great way that I'm proud," said Head Coach Kenneth Cox.  "Throughout some great competition they stepped up and that is what it's all about."

Senior Karmin Shute (Fayetteville, Ga./The Walker School) finished second overall in the 200m dash and fourth in the 100m to end her collegiate career as a two-time All-American.

In the 100m men's final, Jamal Watkins (Hampton, Ga./Dodge City CC)  crossed in 11.02 to finish ninth. And Kameren Morgan (Bowie, Md./St. Alban's School for Boys) threw 56.95m in hammer to finish 10th overall.

"Our seniors have had unbelievable careers and they have left a standard to be followed for years to come," added Cox.  "Both Kameren and Luke will be leaders that help continue the trend and can share their experiences with others."
