BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern men's track and field senior Kameren Morgan (Bowie, Md./St. Alban's School for Boys) was selected to compete in the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships this weekend hosted by UMass Boston.
"I am very happy for Kameren," said Head Coach Kenneth Cox. "He has worked hard throughout his career and put in a lot of time and sacrifice to be one of the top throwers in the region, as well as, the nation."
Morgan broke the programs weight throw record earlier this season. His mark of 19.95m at the UAB Vulcan Invite on January 12 has stood as the fourth best toss of any thrower this season to date.
There will be 20 student-athletes competing in the weight throw at nationals. Morgan is the third competitor in flight two. Finals will start at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, March 8.
