GENEVA, Ohio – Sophomore Luke Ballard (Hoover, Ala./Hoover HS) placed third in the javelin throw on day one of the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Ballard threw a distance of 62.36m to edge out the fourth place finisher by 0.33m.   Competition continues tomorrow, but the Panthers resume on Saturday with the men's long triple jump at 11 a.m. ET and men's hammer throw at 1:45 p.m.
