BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's track and field sprinter Kamryn Bendolph (Madison, Ala./Columbia HS) was named a U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Academic All-American, the organization announced recently. She finished the semester with a 3.70 GPA.
"Kamryn has worked hard in the classroom and within her training," said Head Coach Kenneth Cox. "I am very proud of her accomplishments. I know how important both her academics and athletics are to her and this is just another example of how she continues to represent our women's program and athletic department in a great way."
Bendolph earned All-South/Southeast Region honors after posting the second fastest 400m time in the region. Her time of 57.54 was the 42nd fastest in the country this year and set a new program record. She was also the leadoff on the 4x400m relay team who earned the 10th fastest time in the region.
