BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team will get a chance to defend its tournament title Sunday after defeating Oglethorpe University 72-56 in the semifinals of the 2017 Southern Athletic Association Tournament.  BSC (17-10) shot 66.7 percent from the floor in the fourth quarter to secure its second consecutive trip to the championship game.

Four Panthers finished in double-figures in the win, led by Camillia Carter (Hueytown, Ala./Hueytown HS). She earned a game-high 19 points and went 8-for-10 at the free throw line.  Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) picked up another double-double.  She finished with 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
