Panthers Fall at Louisiana College in Season Opener

PINEVILLE, La. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team dropped its season opener 77-53 Wednesday night on the road at Louisiana College.

Three Panthers finished in double figures.  Kaitlin Hogan (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) led the team with 13 points.  Taydra Holt (LaGrange, Ga./Andrew College) and Misa Fujii (Sunnyvale, Calif./Notre Dame) earned 10 each, respectively.  Holt led with a team-high eight rebounds.

BSC trailed by just one at the break, but the Louisiana College pulled away in the second half as the Panthers slowed down offensively.  They remain on the road, heading to the Roanoke Tip-Off Invitational this weekend.  BSC takes on Washington and Lee Saturday, Nov. 18 and then host Roanoke on Sunday, Nov. 19.
