BSC Drops Nail Biter in Overtime

SALEM, Va. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team fell 76-65 in overtime to Washington and Lee University Saturday night in day one of the Roanoke Tip-Off Tournament.  The Panthers (0-2) went on a 13-0 run in the fourth to tie the game.


Three finished in double-figures, led by Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS).  She earned a team-high 15 points, followed closely by Leah Middleton (Decatur, Ga./St. Pius X HS) who finished with 14, respectively.  Misa Fujii (Sunnyvale, Calif./Notre Dame) picked up 10 points of her own.


Olsen, Middleton, Elizabeth Philpot (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park HS) and Kaitlin Hogan (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) led the team in rebounds.


The Panthers face on host Roanoke on Sunday, Nov. 19.  Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. ET.
