Panthers Earn First Win on Road at Roanoke

SALEM, Va. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team earned its first win of the season Sunday afternoon over host Roanoke College at the 2017 Jean Beamer Tipoff Classic.  The Panthers (1-2) saw Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) and Misa Fujii (Sunnyvale, Calif./Notre Dame) named to the all-tournament for their performance.

Olsen netted a game and season-high 22 points in the win.  Kaitlin Hogan (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) and Fujii also finished with double-digit points at 14 and 12, respectively.  Hogan grabbed a game-high eight rebounds as well.

BSC gets a break before opening its home season.  The Panthers welcome Covenant College to Bill Battle Coliseum on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
