BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team topped Worcester State University 61-48 Thursday afternoon in Bill Battle Coliseum.  The Panthers improved to 5-5 overall with the win.

BSC worked to a four point lead at the break.  They would lead by as many as 15 points in the second half before Worcester State pulled to within five with under five minutes to play.  But the Panthers went on a 13-5 run to end the game and secure the win.

BSC remains at home for the next contest.  They host Belhaven University on Saturday, Dec. 30.  Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
