Panthers Battle Back to Defeat Millsaps 82-77 in OT

JACKSON, Miss. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team battled back from a first half deficit to force overtime and defeat Millsaps College 82-77 on the road Saturday afternoon.  The Panthers finish the regular season at 11-14 overall, 5-9 in conference play.

 

Leah Middleton (Decatur, Ga./St. Pius X HS) led all scorers with a game and career-high 29 points.  She hit 9-of-12 from the floor and went a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.  Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS)  finished with a  double-double after dropping 27 points and grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds.

 

Keneta Morris (Scottsboro, Ala./Northeast Alabama CC) rounded out the Panthers in double-figures, netting 10 points of her own respectively.

 

BSC now prepares for the Southern Athletic Association tournament set to begin on Friday, Feb. 23.
