Olsen Named Women’s Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern junior Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) was named the Southern Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Olsen led the Panthers to a 2-0 week by averaging 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks per game.  She scored 18 points in just 23 minutes on the floor in their win over Agnes Scott. The junior is nationally ranked in 12 categories, including third in double-doubles, and leads the league in eight. She is averaging 17.3 points and 13.1 rebounds per game this season.
