BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team extended its win streak Sunday with a 56-43 home win over Southern Athletic Association rival Centre College in Bill Battle Coliseum. BSC (8-10, 5-2 SAA) has now won five straight.
The Panthers never trailed in the contest. They are now tied for second in the Southern Athletic Association after the first half of conference play.
Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) showed out with a season and game-high 23 points. She also had game-highs of 11 rebounds and two blocks.
BSC goes on a four-game road trip next. First up is Sewanee on Friday, January 25. The Panthers defeated Sewanee at home this past Friday 53-50. Tipoff at Sewanee is set for 6 p.m.
