SANDESTIN, Fla.—The sixth-ranked Birmingham-Southern women's golf team finished ninth at the Golfweek Division III Fall Preview, held Sunday through Tuesday at Baytowne Golf Club in Sandestin, Fla.
Sophomore Jesse Lawley was BSC's top finisher at 33rd with a three-round total of 248, followed by senior Michelle Morris at 34th with 249. Junior Kaleigh Toole was 37th with a score of 251, junior Rachele Struthers was 52nd with 267, and freshman Sarah Dolmovich was 69th with a two-round total of 187. Dolmovich missed the first round of the tournament due to illness. As a team the Panthers carded a score of 1,004.
Defending national champion and top-ranked Methodist University won the team crown with a score of 922, followed by No. 10 Mary Hardin-Baylor with 928 and No. 4 Washington-St. Louis with 929. Ten of the 14 schools competing are currently ranked 26th or higher by Golfstat.com.
BSC has wrapped up its fall schedule and will open spring action on Feb. 16, hosting the Ann Rhoads Invitational at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley.
