No. 18 BSC moves to 14th after third round of NCAA Women's Golf Championship
SANDESTIN, Fla.–The 18th-ranked Birmingham-Southern women's golf team improved on its score from yesterday by 18 strokes to move to 14th in the team standings of the 2013 NCAA Division III Championship, played at Baytowne Golf Club in Sandestin, Fla.
The Panthers shot 325 today for a three-round total of 1,010. Sophomore Jesse Lawley leads BSC with 247 (78-88-81), tying her for 46th overall. Freshman Sarah Dolmovich stands tied at 58th with 251 (87-84-80), followed by junior Kaleigh Toole at 74th with 258 (87-87-84), junior Rachele Struthers at 80th with 261 (92-89-80), and senior Michelle Morris at 89th with 265 (90-84-91).
No. 2 Mary Hardin-Baylor leads for the third day in a row after shooting 311 again today for a three-round total of 928, seven strokes ahead of No. 11 Texas Tyler with 935. No. 5 George Fox stands at third with 943 and 12-time defending national champion Methodist, ranked first in the nation, is fourth with 948.
UT Tyler's Laura Lindsey also leads the individual leader board for the third day in a row with a total of 221 (72-72-77), followed by George Fox's Kelsey Morrison with 224 (73-74-77) and Methodist's Jennifer Sullivan, also with 224 (75-73-76).
The fourth and final round tees off tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. Birmingham-Southern's first tee time is at 8:20 a.m.
