SAA Tournament: BSC Drops to Fifth on Day Two

DICKSON, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team dropped to fifth place after round two of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Championship on Saturday.

BSC shot 338 as a team on Saturday to drop eight shots back of fourth-place Rhodes College.

Freshman Alexis Chambers (Ft. Payne, Ala./Ft. Payne HS) remained BSC's top golfer, shooting an 84 on Saturday but dropping from third place to 12th. Chambers is 15-over for the tournament.

Inside the top 20 are sophomore Sarah Posey (Covington, Tenn./First Assembly Christian School) and junior Sarah Moon (Cordova, Tenn./St. George's Independent School). Posey is tied for 16th after day two, shooting 83 on Saturday. She is 19-over par for the tournament.

Moon shot 81 in the second round, a four-stroke improvement from her first round. She is tied for 18th place at 20-over par.

Birmingham-Southern continues play at the tournament in the final round on Sunday.
