Women's Golf Competes at Jekyll Island Tournament

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team finished tied for 13th at the 2019 Jekyll Island Collegiate on Saturday.

The Panthers shot 993 over three rounds to finish 129-over par as a team.

Junior Sarah Posey (Covington, Tenn./First Assembly Christian School) was BSC's top golfer in the tournament, tying for 26th at 23-over par. Posey shot rounds of 83, 76 and 80.

Sophomore Emma Phillips (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood HS) finished inside the top 50, too. She ended tied for 44th at 29-over par.

Birmingham-Southern will host the BSC Southern Showdown for its next tournament on April 14-16.
