CONWAY, Ark.—Behind a game-high four goals from senior Madeline Golden, the Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team picked up a big conference victory on the road today, defeating Hendrix College 15-3.

The Panthers move to 8-5 overall and 4-2 in the Southern Athletic Association, and are now second in the SAA standings behind Centre at 6-0, while the Warriors fall to 4-8 overall and 1-5 in the SAA.

Hendrix scored the opening goal less than a minute into the game to get things started, but BSC took over offensively after that, scoring six straight to close out the half with a 6-1 lead. Two of the six were from Golden, two from senior Anna Barry, and one each from sophomores Amanda Amerson and Taylor Bates.

The teams traded goals to start the second half before the Panthers used a 8-0 run to end the game with a 15-3 advantage.

Golden led with four goals, six ground balls, and three caused turnovers. Freshman Hannah Hudson led with five draw controls and finished with three goals, as did Bates and Barry, and freshman goalkeeper Caitlin Dryer recorded nine saves in 60 minutes of play.

The Panthers are on the road again next Saturday in the final game of the regular season, facing Sewanee at 1 p.m.
