Late Push Puts Berry Over Panthers in Regular Season Finale

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team closed out the regular season on the road against Berry College with an 11-10 loss. The Panthers (6-9, 3-4 SAA) led 10-8 with under 10 minutes to play. Berry was able to put in three unanswered goals across five minutes to earn the comeback win.

Three Panthers picked up hat tricks to lead the team offensively.  Natalie Daniel (Ooltewah, Tenn./Baylor School), Jade Cox (Rome, Ga./Darlington School), and Katie Gleeson (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) each finished three goals.  Gleeson scored her three off three shots and assisted two other goals. She also finished with a game-high five ground balls.

The Panthers now prepare for the Southern Athletic Association tournament.  They will play in the first round on Saturday, April 22.
