Women's Lacrosse Drops SAA Contest at Rhodes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team fell to Southern Athletic Association foe Rhodes College 17-8 on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Jade Cox (Rome, Ga./Darlington School) led the Panthers offensively in the loss, scoring half of BSC's total with four goals.

On the defensive end, senior Katie Gleeson (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) had eight caused turnovers and goalie Alexus Howard (Spring Hill, Tenn./Franklin HS) finished the game with 15 saves.

After the loss, Birmingham-Southern drops to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the SAA.

The Panthers will be on the road for their next game, a neutral site contest against Kenyon in Sewanee, Tenn., on Tuesday, March 5.
