DANVILLE, Ky. – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team was defeated on the road 23-9 at Centre College on Saturday afternoon.
Birmingham-Southern drew first blood, but the Colonels rebounded and took a commanding lead entering the halftime break and at the final whistle.
Junior Jade Cox (Rome, Ga./Darlington School) led the Panthers offensively in the loss, scoring six goals.
Sophomore goalie Alexus Howard (Spring Hill, Tenn./Franklin HS) recorded 19 saves in the game, which tied a career high.
With the loss, BSC falls to 6-8 overall and 2-3 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Panthers will host Reinhardt at Krulak Stadium in a non-conference game on Tuesday, April 9 at 6 p.m.
