Cox, Gleeson Earn IWLCA All-Region Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior Jade Cox (Rome, Ga./Darlington School) and senior Katie Gleeson (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) were selected to Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-West Region teams, the organization announced on Monday.

Cox, the Southern Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year, earned First Team all-region honors, setting a new program record with 78 goals this season. Cox also added seven assists and 79 ground balls, 78 draw controls and 47 caused turnovers. She was 15th in the nation in goals per game at 4.88 and 15th in total goals.

Gleeson, the Southern Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year, was voted to the All-West Region Second Team. Gleeson led the country in total turnovers and turnovers per game with 70 and 4.12, respectively. She also finished with 46 goals, 18 assists, 45 draw controls and a team-high 97 ground balls.

By earning First Team all-region recognition, Cox is eligible for IWLCA All-America consideration.
