Panthers Earn Road Win at Huntingdon

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team continued its winning ways on Saturday night, traveling to Huntingdon and knocking off the Hawks 1-0 for its fourth consecutive win.

Freshman forward Sydney Barrow scored the lone goal of the match, her second of the year, in the 19th minute and the Panthers never surrendered the lead.

Huntingdon outshot BSC 14-11 but the Panther defense was superb. Freshman goalkeeper Blakley Jones finished the match with seven saves for the visiting side.

Birmingham-Southern's next match will be at home against Belhaven on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Kickoff for the match is set for 5:00 p.m.
