BSC to Host Oglethorpe in SAA Tournament Quarterfinal

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team will host the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels in the quarterfinal round of the Southern Athletic Association Women's Soccer Championship Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 28.

The SAA released the tournament bracket on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers come into the tournament with a 6-1 conference record and the No. 2 seed.

BSC traveled to Oglethorpe back on Oct. 15 for the only meeting between the two teams this season. The Panthers took home the win in that match thanks to a 90th minute goal by freshman Nicole Bernal.

The last time BSC and Oglethorpe met in the SAA tournament was the 2012 quarterfinal round that saw the Panthers advance to the semifinals by a score of 2-0.

The start time for the SAA Women's Soccer Tournament quarterfinal game is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. CDT on Saturday.
